HOW WE STARTED
One East Urban Bar + Kitchen opened its doors in March 2019 at the site of The Westin Kansas City hotel. Our modern American restaurant has 12 beer taps, with the majority of them offering local craft beers. We also have local craft cocktails and spirits, which we’ve infused with freshly squeezed juices. We invite you to experience this really cool dining scene in Kansas City.In addition to our bar, we have two dining rooms — one for private gatherings and dinner and the other for breakfast and lunch.
We offer our valued diners with modern American food. Spanish Meatballs, Spinach Spaghetti, and Pickled Chicken Sandwich are some of the specialties customers will enjoy in our vibrant restaurant.
Charles Barr is the executive chef of the restaurant. Before entering One East Urban Bar + Kitchen, he has worked in several other food establishments as a lead line cook, a line cook, a sous chef, and an executive chef. When Barr created our menu, he made sure to add an American twist to dishes that require the use of French techniques.
